Survey of the Nonwestern World

This course is a survey of a sampling of cultures in the nonwestern world. This course introduces students to people, cultures, history, and geography of nonwestern areas and the cultural and historical influences these areas have had on the world. The regions of study include East Asia, South Asia, West and South Africa, and the Middle East. The course will be both regional and thematic covering the same themes throughout each region.
