Faith and Survival

This course looks at the connection between faith and survival. Starting from the origins of faith, people of faith have needed to survive. After two exiles and being under the rule of foreign powers, people of faith have learned to survive. Having experienced these traumatic events, one has to wonder how much these traumatic events have affected their faith. On an individual level, but also on a communal level. This is true for our own contexts. How do we minister to people in our ministry context who have been affected by traumatic events? How do we minister to the people outside of our ministry context, who are wondering where is God after traumatic events? Answering these questions and more is the goal of this class.
